About Buy My First Home

A standalone project to make first-home decisions clearer.

Last updated

Buy My First Home is a first-home planning and education platform developed for Rob Davies. It is separate from the Lynton Mortgages website. Its purpose is to help people understand what could bring a suitable first home closer, while making the costs and uncertainties visible.

What you can do here

Bring together deposit cash, buying costs, tax, borrowing assumptions and a monthly budget. Save a search brief, compare homes, prepare for viewings and offers, then keep mortgage (a loan secured on your home), survey (an inspection of the home’s condition) and legal progress together after an offer is accepted.

What the numbers and trackers mean

Calculations are transparent illustrations and the progress workspace is a private memory aid. There is no live lender search, credit check, mortgage approval, legal-readiness decision or personalised mortgage recommendation. A shorter cash target or completed checklist is not a predicted purchase date.

Useful before you ask for help

The tools are free and do not require your name or email. You can take your plan or progress summary to any provider. The current help page gives a direct Lynton Mortgages contact option; future broker relationships are not presented as an existing panel.

Helpfulness must be demonstratedReal buyer outcomes have not yet been measured. “Sooner” describes the aim, not a promise that using the platform accelerates a purchase.
