Your figures stay under your control

Your calculator entries and purchase-progress notes are processed in your browser. They are not submitted to Lynton Mortgages, another broker, an estate agent, a conveyancer (the solicitor or licensed professional handling the legal purchase), a lender or an AI service. The optional guide request is separate from these tools. There is no document upload or added advertising or analytics tracking.

While you use the tools

Your plan, in-progress answers, search brief, saved home comparisons, viewing notes, private offer worksheets and after-offer tracker are kept in this tab’s session storage so they can move between tools. Browser session restoration can sometimes retain a tab’s session data. Use Clear all my saved work when finished on a shared device.

Remembering on this device

If you choose “Remember on this device”, the same record is also stored in local storage so it can be restored after closing the tab. This storage is not encrypted by the application. Avoid this option on shared devices. You can turn it off or clear your work.

A printed or downloaded copy remains wherever you save it. Clearing browser storage does not delete those copies.

Website connections

The hosting provider processes normal access information and any access sign-in. If you use the optional Council Tax postcode lookup, only that postcode is sent to Postcodes.io; it is not saved in your plan. Financial answers and progress notes are not sent. You can instead use the council list without that connection. Source and broker links open separate websites with their own privacy terms. We do not add your answers to those links.

Private backups and moving your work

The workspace can download a JSON file containing your saved plan, unfinished answers, homes, viewing and offer notes, and purchase tracker. Keep it private. Opening a backup reads it in your browser; it is not uploaded to this site. Restore works only when this browser has no saved work, and device saving starts off.

A different browser or website domain has separate storage. Download your work at the old address before moving. Clearing this site’s browser data does not remove files you downloaded or printed.

Guide requests and optional updates

If you request the guide, your email address is sent securely to Resend to deliver the requested message. A guide-only request does not add you to the first-home updates list. If you separately choose updates, the email includes a confirmation link lasting 24 hours. You join the dedicated first-home list only after pressing the confirmation button.

For confirmed updates, Resend holds your email address, the request and confirmation dates, the consent wording version and the signup page. The wording is: “Yes, email me first-home tips, confirmed scheme updates and low-deposit news from Rob at Lynton Mortgages.” You can unsubscribe through any update. An earlier global unsubscribe is not changed by a guide request or confirmation link. Your guide request and separately confirmed updates use your consent. You can withdraw consent through an update or the privacy contact below. We retain the subscription while you want updates, then keep only the consent and suppression information needed to respect your choice and demonstrate what was authorised. Resend retains email content and delivery logs for 30 days on the current plan; backups can persist for seven days. Ask the privacy contact about access, correction or deletion.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks the signup request to reduce automated abuse. It processes verification information under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The email service is described in Resend’s privacy policy. Resend stores email and contact information in the United States. Its data-processing information explains retention and the UK Addendum to its Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. Cloudflare processes website and verification information across its global network under the safeguards described in its privacy policy. Contact us if you need a copy of the relevant safeguards. Financial answers and saved notes are not sent to either service. The guide can also be downloaded without an email address or signup verification.

Website operation and abuse prevention rely on our legitimate interests in providing a secure, dependable service. You can object to processing based on those interests.

You can ask the privacy contact below about access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of information we hold about you. These rights depend on the circumstances. We do not use signup details to make automated mortgage or eligibility decisions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.

Future introductions

This version does not transmit enquiries. A future sharing feature will need to explain who receives the information, the purpose and the controls before it is used.
